This is a very interesting blog. I especially enjoyed the post against beer snobbery. And as guilty as I’ve been of such sin in the past, I praise the Maker I’ve discovered the joyous delight of union-made PBR.

I am still no fan of PBR, but I do enjoy a Budweiser every once in a while on a nice hot day.

Yeah, I once read in a beer magazine that Bud is like the best quality mass-produced lager out there. And you can certainly tell a difference between that and the other domestic lights.
And I’ll admit, part of my PBR obsession is probably its various cultural associations: the working class, Southern rock, etc. But another part of it is certainly the fact that it is so delicious!!!!!!!! Smooth as a mother.

So am I a beer snob if I say I can’t stand the taste of most mass produced beers?

Yes, but I don’t see how being a beer snob is a such bad thing. The first commenter had it right on when she wrote, in effect, “what you say may be true, but it still tastes like crap”.
95% of the time mass produced beer tastes horrible to me. I only crave it on some hot summer days – you know, after cutting my grass with my boss’s human powered lawnmower or taking my motobecane for a ride to Main Street and back.
So, although I may still drink it off and on I don’t think I’ll be in the habit of defending it.

All beer tastes horrible to me. Most alcohol does, actually. Except I can choke down a Newcastle now and then.
